The Atlanta Police Department was represented at the funeral of murdered New York Police officer Rafael Ramos on Saturday.
The photos of seven APD cops were posted wearing blue in New York on their Facebook page.
“The Georgia Peach traveled to The Big Apple in support of a fallen comrade,” they posted with one of the photos.
Ramos and his partner, Wenjian Liu, were murdered in what the NYPD termed “an assassination” in the Bed-Stuy (Bedford-Stuyvesant) section of Brooklyn, ambush style, by Ismaaiyl Brinsley in New York said last week.
Brinsley, who had an extensive arrest record in greater Atlanta counties of Fulton, Cobb and DeKalb, reportedly shot his ex-girlfriend in Baltimore before heading to New York on a revenge killing of the two slain officers.
