There is even a book, “Ugly Christmas Sweater Party Book: The definitive Guide to Getting Your Ugly On.” It seems like the ugly sweater parties took off around 2001 and snowballed after that. Last week, I was riding past a vintage furniture store on Butler Street and saw two Christmas sweaters hanging outside. I’m sure they had some aluminum Christmas trees inside at a premium price as well. If you are looking for an ugly holiday sweater, now is the time to shop for it. Christmas is over and the sweaters should be marked down. I may have to break my temporary “not shopping trend” for a minute, if I can get a good deal on a sweater for next year.
I have been wearing my vest for more than 10 years, but it still fits and I still love it. It is black with gold buttons and is embroidered with colorful Christmas lights. This year I added a matching necklace that lights and blinks; it was a hit.
