In a campaign drive that would be harder to complete than spelling Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, a petition is gaining momentum to carve the likeness of Outkast members Big  Boi and Andre 3000 into the side of Stone Mountain.
The petition seeks to have the legendary rap duo in a Cadillac as a replacement for the current Confederate heroes — Robert E. Lee, Stone Wall Jackson and Jefferson Davis — that are carved into the side of the mountain in this east Atlanta suburb.

The petition seeks redress at the Georgia State House and Senate as well as Gov. Nathan Deal, and it is generating serious momentum supporting carving Antwan Patton and Andre Benjamin in a Cadillac into the face of Stone Mountain.
“I believe it’s important to recognize the history and heritage of all Georgians. However, the carving of Davis, Lee, and Jackson on the side of Stone Mountain only represents a small, regrettable time in the history of the Peach State,” the petition reads. “It’s high time we added a bit more of our history and culture to this monument. “
Atlanta chapter of the NAACP has already issued a statement calling for the removal of all vestiges of the Confederacy from the popular park, one of the state’s biggest tourist attractions, including the 90-foot-high, 190-foot-wide sculpture of the Confederate leaders.
This move is part of the momentum emanating when South Carolina successfully voted to remove the Confederate battle flag from its state house grounds in Columbia after Caucasian psychotic killer Dylann Roof went on a murder rampage at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, killing nine black parishioners, including state Senator Clementa Pinckney. Other states, most notably Alabama, had also removed Confederate flags from certain state-owned property.
