Keisha Lance Bottoms Hosts Veterans Roundtable Today as Part of ‘Standing Up for Georgia’ Tour

On Wednesday, Aug. 27, former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will visit Warner Robins as part of her “Standing Up for Georgia” tour across the state. Bottoms is a Democratic candidate for Governor of Georgia.

At 11 a.m., Bottoms will hold a veterans roundtable at Turner Ragan American Legion Post 594 to hear from those who served the nation about how the state of Georgia can better serve them. The roundtable is hosted by the American Federation for Government Employees, which represents more than 80,000 federal workers in Georgia, including many veterans.

At 6 p.m., Bottoms will host a meet-and-greet at AFGE Local 987 in Warner Robins, hosted by the Macon-Bibb, Peach, and Houston County Democratic Parties, with local elected officials and community members.

Bottoms is traveling the state for her “Standing Up for Georgia Tour” this summer and fall, where Bottoms is hearing directly from Georgians on what matters most to them and discussing her plans as governor to stand up for Georgians against the chaos in Washington and make Georgia more affordable.
