BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Big Boi, one-half of the legendary and revolutionary hip hop group OutKast, may have served as the official host of the Fantastic Four red carpet premiere and advanced movie preview, but superstar rapper-actor Ludacris was the surprise guest who came to bequeath his blessings on the proceedings and show some love to the cast, particularly industry pal Michael B. Jordan.
A caravan of celebrities decorated the state-of-the-art CineBistro movie theater just north of Atlanta to view the newest incarnation of the mega-successful movie franchise Fantastic Four that has grossed hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide.
Three of the cast members — Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell — were joined at the festive affair with Big Boi and his two sons, Terri J. Vaughn, “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” co-host HeadKrack, Egypt Sherrod, Brad James, and many others.
The Fantastic Four film revolved around four young outsiders who are teleported to an alternate and dangerous universe which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The four must learn to cultivate these new superpowers and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned arch-nemesis.
The Fantastic Four film, a product of 20th Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment, opens nationwide on Aug. 7.
