ATLANTA -- Atlanta City Hall will be illuminated in rainbow colors this week in honor of the Supreme Court's landmark ruling on marriage equality for same-sex couples. The rainbow flag is a nationally-recognized symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pride.
"The Supreme Court ruling marks a momentous victory for freedom, equality and love," said Mayor Kasim Reed. "I am proud to light up City Hall as we celebrate this crucial step toward achieving our vision of equality."
City Hall will remain lit in rainbow colors each evening through July 2, 2015.
