Girl whose face ravaged by pit bull told to leave KFC

Victoria-Wilcher
A 3-year-old girl whose face was ravaged after being mauled by a pit bull was ordered to leave a KFC because her facial scars and disfigurement was disturbing the other customers.
Victoria Wilcher’s face was mangled by her grandfathers pit bull so badly she can only eat soft foods.
Wilcher’s grandmother decided to patronize a KFC one day recently after visiting the doctor’s office. However, shortly after taking their seats, a KFC employee asked her and her grandmother to leave, saying, “We have to ask you to leave because her face is disrupting our customers.”
The episode left the 3-year-old girl in tears and her grandmother Kelly Mullins is mortified and irate at the treatment.
“She won’t even look in the mirror anymore. When we go to a store, she doesn’t even want to get out of the car.”
The grandmother got revenge when she posted the humiliating episode on Wilcher’s Facebook entitled, “Victoria’s Victories.”
The public blowback from the episode was so intense that KFC has opened an internal investigation while simultaneously apologizing profusely to the affected girl and grandmother.
KFC Facebook page states:
“Update: As soon as we learned of the report on Friday, we immediately began an investigation. This kind of hurtful and disrespectful action would not be tolerated by KFC. Regardless of the outcome of our investigation, we have apologized to Victoria’s family and are committed to assisting them. We are making a $30,000 donation to help with her medical bills. The entire KFC family is behind Victoria and her recovery.”
The silver lining in this is that, because of the egregious disrespect by the KFC employee and subsequent posting on the Wilcher FB page, the family has received a ton of love. So much so that they made an appearance on the “Today” show.
The downside of this, however, is that cultural vultures and opportunistic bottom feeders have tried to exploit this beautiful public gesture. Some folks have created fake Facebook and pilfered some of the money meant for Wilcher’s recovery.
As a result, the grandparents are now requesting all love and donations be forwarded to the following address:
Victoria’s Victories
P.O. Box 66
Braxton, MS 39044
