PCP3 joins the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s national “Check the Box! Saving Lives Together” campaign to promote early detection through a simple PSA blood test
Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) will provide free prostate cancer screenings to men attending the BIG3 basketball tournament on Sunday, August 2, at State Farm Arena as part of the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s national “Check the Box! Saving Lives Together” campaign.
The Prostate Cancer Precision Prevention Program at Morehouse School of Medicine is a research and community engagement initiative dedicated to reducing prostate cancer disparities through early detection, education and precision prevention strategies. The program expands access to PSA screening and connects individuals with evidence-based resources that support earlier diagnosis and improved outcomes, particularly among Black men and other populations at increased risk.
The national “Check the Box! Saving Lives Together” campaign was launched in January 2026 by the Prostate Cancer Foundation in partnership with basketball organizations to encourage early detection, increase awareness of prostate cancer risk and improve access to lifesaving screenings, particularly in communities disproportionately affected by the disease.
What: MSM’s Prostate Cancer Precision Prevention Program (PCP3) will screen men through a simple prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. The screening requires only a quick blood draw—not a more invasive procedure—and can help identify men who may benefit from additional evaluation.
