Legendary ‘The Queens Tour’ Returns

Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, and Chaka Khan prove that great music will always be timeless. The four R&B legends are back on the road for the anticipated “The Queens Tour: 4 Legends 1 Stage.”

Presented by Black Promoters Collective, the queens made their way to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

Atlanta’s own Gladys Knight, 82, kicked things off, performing hits such as “Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me,” ““Neither One of Us,” and “Midnight Train to Georgia.”

Without missing a beat, Stephanie Mills followed dressed in red, backed by similarly dressed band and all-male back-up singers. Mills gave a high-energy set that included songs “Something in the Way (You Make Me Feel),” “I’ve Learned to Respect the Power of Love,” and the ‘70s Broadway hit, “Home,

The illustrious Patti LaBelle followed by showing that sh hasn’t lost a step at 81. LaBelle’s voice remained strong as she performed “New Attitude,” “The Right Kinda Lover,” “My Love, Sweet Love.” She also changed outfits before performing a powerful tribute to fallen legends such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, and others while singing You Are My Friend.

She closed her set with the fiery, “Lady Marmalade,” inviting several men on stage to perform the song or dance.

Chicago’s Chaka Khan closed the show, performing hits “Through the Fire,” “Do You Love What Your Feel,” “I Feel For Your,” and “I’m Every Woman.”

Overall, “The Queens Tour: 4 Legends 1 Stage” proves that Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, and Chaka Khan are still performing at high levels while teaching a new generation of music lovers.
