ATLANTA – Atlanta City Councilmember Keisha Lance Bottoms will host the 2016 District 11 Town Hall Meeting (TONIGHT) Tuesday, March 8th at 6:00 p.m., at Ben Hill United Methodist Church, located at 2099 Fairburn Road.

Constituents will receive updates on new and developing initiatives from top officials in various City departments including: The Mayor’s Office, McPherson Implementing Local Redevelopment Authority, Department of Corrections, Department of Watershed Management, Atlanta Fire-Rescue Department, Atlanta Police Department, Department of Public Works, Department of Planning and Community Development, Department of Parks and Recreation, Invest Atlanta, Atlanta Municipal Court, and Atlanta Public Schools.

“I always look forward to our annual Town Hall Meeting, which brings “City Hall” to the community,” says Councilmember Bottoms. “There is so much growth and development happening in the City of Atlanta, and in our district via the Invest in Southwest initiative. It is important that we maintain a two-way dialogue with our constituents so that they can hear directly from the people that lead various parts of the City and we can hear directly from them.”

The 2015 Town Hall Meeting drew nearly 300 residents. Attendee projections for 2016 are the same.

“This is a very important meeting for the people of District 11, which is why it is so well-attended. Residents of Southwest Atlanta are actively engaged in both the development and management of our city and their energy and enthusiasm is part of what makes the annual Town Hall Meeting great.”
