“The Lady, Her Labor, Her Legacy” was the theme of the Inaugural Celebration of Mother Wilma Smith Beauford recently held in the Grand Ballroom of the Airport Marriott. The event marked the culmination of her appointment to the office of Supervisor of the Department of Women, for the First  Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Churches Of God In Christ of western Pennsylvania.
Four Bishops and five State Supervisors of Women from other jurisdictions across the country joined in with the approximate 400 guests in attendance to celebrate and encourage Supervisor Beauford’s success in leadership. In his remarks, Bishop James Foster, jurisdictional Prelate, referred to Supervisor Beauford as Godly, faithful, dedicated and an organizer who promotes a standard of excellence. Mother Willie Mae Rivers, General Supervisor of Women Of the Churches of God In Christ worldwide, was the guest speaker.
