Fashion Watch: Rock the Trench

There is nothing as timeless as a trench coat. Right now in my closet I have 4 in different colors.
According to the Huffington Post trench coats have always had a place in fashion. If our favorite celebs aren’t rocking theirs, we have the legendary Burberry number to fall back on — or at least, marvel at it from afar.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on a trench coat check out your local thrift stores and don’t be afraid to shop the coats in the men’s department, push up the sleeves or roll them back and pop the collar and you will be good to go.
Trenches are one of our fall basics since they pretty much go with every outfit. Whether we’re taking a minimalist approach with our clothing or we’re practicing the wonderful art of power clashing, the long silhouette and sharp cut of a trench coat can take your wardrobe a long way.
And if that isn’t enough to convince you, New York Fashion Week transformed the trench for this upcoming spring, from shows like Tracy Reese and Thakoon. So, you can rock this coat from now ’til next year.
