'Love and Hip Hop Atlanta' Has Two New Cast Members

“Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” executive producer Mona Scott-Young sliced off the fat of her popular reality TV series.
Benzino, 50, the owner of “Hip Hop Weekly,” and his fiancé Althea, were given the boot without explanation or warning — or even a phone call. They had to find out they were fired via social media.
According to sources close to the show, Benzino started making demands that the Bravo producers were not trying to hear.
For example, Benzino reportedly wanted to get Bravo to start cutting Althea some checks for her appearances. But they balked at that laughable idea because he’s the one who brought her on to the scene and she really didn’t add to LAHHATL in a meaningful way.
Besides, Bravo was not going to throw out their cash cow and ratings-producing crazy woman Joseline Hernandez and her pimp Stevie J; the wild pair make for compelling TV, Bravo reasoned.
Now that Benzino and Althea are no longer on the set, Bravo now has room and budget to bring on old-school rapper Da Brat and her girlfriend, reports SandraRose.com.

Da Brat is best known for her blockbuster club anthems “Funkafied” and “Give it to You” and being the first female rapper to have a platinum-selling album.
