Georgia Governor Candidates Support Suspended UGA Superstar Todd Gurley

Both Georgia gubernatorial candidates have taken up the plight of suspended University of Georgia running back Todd Gurley.
Democrat Jason Carter, a University of Georgia law school graduate, made it unequivocally clear on Twitter this evening that he backs Gurley, who has been suspended indefinitely and may never play for the school again, despite being one of the greatest running backs in UGA history.
Gurley, who was the nation’s leading rusher and top contender to win the Heisman Trophy — college football highest individual honor — before he was suspended, is accused of being paid for signing autographs. It is against NCAA regulations that amateur student-athletes receive compensation of any kind.
