The Gathering
OCT. 18—Women Restored Empowered Strengthened Transformed (W.R.E.S.T.) and Friends will host “The Gathering” from 11 .m.-1 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, 6300 Fifth Ave., Shadyside.  This is an event for multi-generational and multi-ethnic women to address challenges face in the world, church, marketplace and as entrepreneurs. Community Concert
OCT. 18—G2 Square Productions will host its Tri-Community Celebration of Life Concert from 7-9 p.m. at Jesus Dwelling Place, 408 Lobinger St., North Braddock. This concert will celebrate the life of Gary Germany, a Pittsburgh native battling lung cancer. The evening will include performances from Charlie Gatewood, recording artist The Overseer, guitarist Willie Binion and recording artist Franchot Carswell. This event is free and open to the public. Richard Jones at 4 p.m. The theme is “He Is A Prayer-Answering God.” Together these fathers in the ministry have 65 years of pastoral leadership experience. This weeklong celebration, Oct. 19, 22-24 and 16, will include guest preachers Rev. James Burwell, Rev. Roy Simms, Rev. George Woodruff, Rev. George Williams and Rev. Kevin Brown. Coat Rally

This event provides children warm coats during the cold winter months. There will be blood pressure checks, refreshments, entertainment, prizes and more.
