Now, Theatrical Works Live, the promoter of the show, who’s apparently been riding on the late freight, has just gotten around to issuing a statement about what happened from their point of view.
Here it is:
As promoters for the national stage play “A Mother’s Love,” Theatrical Works Live experienced a great deal of joy and success working with some of the most talented people in the industry. We were looking forward to bringing the family-friendly, revamped musical to 29 cities across the country, but our efforts were thwarted by unforeseen circumstances. An ever-challenging economy and slow ticket sales contributed to the cancellation of the tour. It goes without saying that we are discouraged at a missed opportunity to share this wonderful production with the public. Ticket holders will be entitled to full refunds.
