This young man who kicked the cat must have lived a horrible life; I hope he gets some help. I would love to see the parents brought to trial as well in some of these cases.
Not too long after I saw that story there was a news report on the 6 o’clock news of a Black man who was passing through the Hill District and saw the people in a car driving by suddenly throw a white terrier dog out of the car and keep going. He went to aid the dog, even went as far as to go to the local Dollar General and buy food and water. He then took the dog to the Animal Rescue League and it was found the dog had a chip. When the story was first reported it was thought the owners tossed the dog out of the car, but the owners were looking for the dog and they were found by the reading the chip, now the police are looking for suspects in the car.
What pleasure do people get out of harming animals or any living thing for that matter? I had a friend who used to use a phrase, she would often say that she was our bosses “new cat to kick” at the time I thought it was funny. Now that I’ve seen this report it’s not funny at all. For some reason these stories made me think about cow tipping. It has always been said that people in the country tip cows over for fun. I looked it up and tipping a cow over is not that easy. Cows do not sleep standing up and they are heavy; so if you plan to tip a cow, be prepared the cow might fight back.
