The Atlanta Hawks are turning up the volume for a pivotal Game 2 at State Farm Arena. With the series currently 1–1 against the New York Knicks, the Hawks are bringing Atlanta’s music scene to the forefront.
Headlining the night’s entertainment will be Pastor Troy, Soulja Boy, and Mike Clark Jr. Soulja Boy will take center stage for a halftime performance with a catalog that includes hits like “Turn My Swag On,” and “Pretty Boy Swag.”
“Playoff atmosphere is just different,” Soulja Boy said ahead of the game. “I am excited to do my part to add to Atlanta’s homecourt advantage during our first home game of the series.”
Adding to the energy during a break in the action will be Atlanta’s own Pastor Troy, a staple of Southern hip-hop known for high-energy anthems like “Vice Versa” and “No Mo Play In G.A.”
In a recent interview, Pastor Troy emphasized just how much this moment means for the city.
“I just want everybody to support us,” he said. “It’s such a different vibe in the city when we win. it’s just a beautiful thing to wake up and everybody’s feeling good.”
For him, this matchup carries deeper significance than just another playoff game. He described the Hawks-Knicks rivalry in almost personal terms for Atlanta sports fans.
“It’s not another city, we’d rather beat,” he added. “This is gonna be crazy in there, so I just want ATL fans to stand up so it ain’t a New York Knicks home game in State Farm Arena.”
For a Hawks team trying to regain momentum in the series, Thursday night is about more than basketball, it’s about atmosphere, pride, and the unmistakable pulse of Atlanta.
