The City of College Park has appointed Antoinette Govan as its new Director of Communications and Public Information. With over 20 years of distinguished experience in journalism and communications, Govan is set to invigorate the Communications and Public Information Office.
Before joining the College Park team, Govan expertly led communications and community relations for several departments at the City of Atlanta. Her extensive career includes key roles as a senior manager, writer, and newscast producer at various respected local and national television stations. Recently, she has enriched the academic community as an adjunct professor at Clark Atlanta University, imparting her knowledge in the Department of Mass Media Arts, part of the esteemed Division of Communication Arts.
“I am thrilled to join the College Park communications team,” exclaimed Govan. “This vibrant city is at the forefront of smart technology and is earning its reputation as a Global City and Air International Gateway. I am eager to collaborate with my fellow city leaders to uphold our commitment to excellence and drive innovative initiatives.”
In her new role, Govan will spearhead the development and execution of dynamic communication strategies, enhance the City’s brand, and actively engage the community in pivotal City initiatives.
