Atlanta Daily World stands as the first Black daily publication in America. Started in 1927 by Morehouse College graduate W.A. Scott. Currently owned by Real Times Media, ADW is one of the most influential Black newspapers in the nation.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Fulton County Arts and Culture hosted the first of two events honoring over 150 women artists based in Fulton County.
The Department of Arts & Culture presents, “EmpowerHer 2025 – A Celebration of Women in Art,” a group exhibition featuring the art of contemporary local female artists.
The Opening Reception was at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum & Conference Center at 3900 Aviation Circle, Atlanta, GA 30336.
EmpowerHER aims to spotlight the diverse voices, experiences, and achievements of women through various artistic mediums“, says David Manuel, Director of Fulton County Arts and Culture.

The exhibit was curated by the incredible Tisha Smith, Public Art Manager for Fulton County, this exhibition celebrates the power, strength, and creativity of women.

The second event Artist Talk takes place Saturday, March 29th noon-2pm at the same venue. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public will run through April 19, 2025.
