Huh?!? Wendy Williams fires producers after NAACP and HBCU comments got her blasted nationwide

The fallout and casualties from the Wendy Williams self-inflicted debacle regarding her ridiculous comments about the NAACP and HBCUs continues unabated.
Her brand was a wreckage scene as Williams took some major incoming fire after she attempted to be slick with her nearly all-white audience and criticize Jesse Williams powerful and poignant speech about racism and police brutality at the BET Awards in June.

“I would be really offended if there was a school known as a historically white college,” Williams said then, which ignited a cultural blaze and got her pounded by TV One’s Roland Martin. “We have historically black colleges.”
The funny thing is, Williams decided to terminate several producers in the wake of her idiotic comments, according to Page 6:
“The Wendy Williams Show” has fired several producers in the wake of its host’s blundering remarks about the NAACP. We’re told longtime producer Jason Gabel and at least two other senior staff members were let go.
“The crew had a big party celebrating what they considered a season well done,” we’re told, and “the next day [some of them] got calls saying they’d been let go.”
We’re told execs want to retool the show, adding more current-affairs coverage and pop culture.
Wendy Williams found herself at the center of a furor after saying she doesn’t believe in the NAACP or historically black colleges, because there is no “white” equivalent.
