The greater metropolitan Atlanta region dominates the Top 10 list of the best suburbs to live in Georgia.
Decatur, Big Creek and Alpharetta top the list, according to a new study by Niche.com that ranks the state’s suburbs.
The website says it based its list on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities and local amenities. Data was collected from sources that include the U.S. Census Bureau, FBI, and Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Niche.com provides rankings and statistics on every neighborhood and city in the U.S. to help people find the best places to live, visit, and raise a family, according to its website.
The Top 10 “best suburbs” are:
- Decatur
- Big Creek Township
- Alpharetta
- Johns Creek
- Northeast CobbTownship
- Smyra
- Roswell
- Milton
- Vinings
- Mableton
