w7r3If you are familiar with the Police Athletic League (PAL) then I’m sure you’ve heard of The West Seven Rams. For those of you who don’t know what PAL is, it a non-profit organization in partnership with the Detroit Police Department and community volunteers that offer athletic, academic and leadership development programs. The West Seven Rams are one of the top program/organizations in Detroit PAL (Police Athletic League) for football and cheerleading. The West Seven Rams are a division of the West Seven Youth Club, a non-profit 501.C.3, established in 1966 as an alternate after school program for inner city children ages 5 -14.
The West Seven Rams have won four of the last five city championships at Ford Field. Averaging 35 points a game this season on offense and only allowing two touchdowns to be scored against them on defense the entire year. The head coach, Harold McCullough, and his assistant coaches; led the undefeated West 7 Rams’ C-TEAM to the United Youth Football League (UYFL) National Championship, which took place in Tampa, Florida. Safe to say they took home the belt! The defense only gave up one touchdown in Florida. This is the first national championship win in the West 7 Rams football history!
