ATLANTA — Donning a Malcolm X t-shirt, a symbolization of the rap legend’s musical and philosophical maturation, Young Jeezy popped up and lit up Philips Arena with renditions from his thick musical catalog in Philips Arena.

Beforehand, the Macon, Ga., native and Atlanta resident entertained a phalanx of media on his musical journey and metamorphosis from street king to hip hop elder statesman who wields his powerful words as instruments of uplift as much as entertainment.IMG_8927
Jeezy also discussed the connection between Atlanta Hawks and the hip hop community and their mutual embrace as well as the cuts from his new album Church in These Streets.
