Is this the end for 'America's Next Top Model'?

tyra banksFans of “America’s Next Top Model” might not be happy to find that the most recent season will more than likely be its last.
If you’re still dreaming of making it big on Tyra Banks‘ model competition show, it might be too late.
The show’s creator recently announced that Cycle 22 of ANTM will most likely be the last and final season.
The supermodel and co-host of FABLife recently took to twitter to announce the news:

It’s been a 12-year ride that has introduced to the world such top models as Eva Marcille, Yaya Dacosta, and still sent girls home who were “not ready” for the industry at the time, but have gone on to have somewhat successful modeling careers.  The finale show will allegedly air on November 13th.
CW President Mark Pedowitz released a statement following Tyra’s announcement saying,

“America’s Next Top Model was a successful franchise for two networks, first at UPN and then The CW, and it became not just a ratings hit, but a global pop culture phenomenon. I want to thank Tyra and Ken for all their years of success in establishing a show that was not just popular in the U.S., but all across the world.”

The successful, long-running show has produced familiar faces by giving them the opportunity to shine in an industry they otherwise may have never known or experienced. However, all good things must eventually come to an end.Unfortunately, this may be the last go-round for the show. Yet, that is not to take away from the fact that it carved a niche in reality television that no other can rival.
