There is a reason why most urbanites harbor great distrust of the mainstream media, why they believe reporters type with razor blades, that “journalists” have an agenda and often slant their stories to tell a specific type of story that further denigrates and disparages African Americans as a whole.
Thanks to social media, another story is being told about what is really going on in Baltimore instead of the one-sided reporting that is being force-fed to the country by journalist who don’t live in Baltimore, know very little about the city and, quite frankly, refuse to even visit the town under any circumstances unless there’s a story to be had that involves scandal or tragedy.
Amidst the rioting and looting by a small minority of malcontents and criminals, there are many more (many, MANY more) blacks who are doing the right thing. Then again, this has always been the case. It’s just that social media was not in existence back in the day to capture and illuminate the positive images as they are in Maryland’s beleaguered city that’s being assaulted from the outside by slanted, uneven and negative portrayals of their city by trained “journalists” who are too lazy, too uninformed, too ignorant or who are just as racist as the some of the officers who continue to kill unarmed black men with impunity. Ferguson knows this all too well. So did Los Angeles during the Rodney King riots of 1992.
Another example? The Baltimore police released a statement (that the media ran with) claiming members of rival gangs the Bloods and Crips have put aside their differences and combined forces in order to execute their plan to “take out” cops. The Baltimore Police Department, however, provided no viable evidence to corroborate these highly-inflammatory claims.
Moreover, there were no mainstream reporting of the image above that says rival gangs and other civic organizations and the Nation of Islam marched peacefully and have denounced violent protests and looting.
Take a look at more images the mainstream media won’t show you and that you may never see otherwise.
