On Wednesday we had an “ugly Christmas sweater” contest at work. I don’t think there is anything ugly in my wardrobe but I put on my one and only Christmas sweater vest and headed to the job.
When the judges came to check out my sweater the only thing they could say was “it’s not ugly.”
Ugly Christmas sweaters are now hard to find. There used to be a large selection in the thrift stores but now they are all the rage. You have to create a sweater, go on line and buy one or borrow one from your aunt or mother in law.
Some stores even sell ugly sweater kits. I think that is cheating. If the sweater was not ugly from the jump is should not be considered ugly.
The winner of our contest was a young man in a sweater vest with knitted ornaments on the back. It looked like something you give away.
