'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Teresa and Joe Giudice Get Stiff Sentences

A Night Under The Stars Benefiting Juvenile Diabetes Research
The penal code casualties on the “Real Housewives” franchise is starting to pile up.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida is already serving eight years for defrauding the United States government — again — after just getting out from serving five years. Today, Teresa and Joe Giudice of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” are being sentenced to federal prison for wire and bankruptcy fraud.
Husband Joe Giudice has been sentenced to 3-1/2 years in a federal prison for wire and bankruptcy fraud  — and wife Teresa Giudice was slammed with 15 months in prison for her role. After Joe Giudice is released from prison, he is subjected to deportation since he is not a permanent citizen of the United States.
In addition to the 41 months in prison, Joe Giudice must also pay $414,588.90 in restitution and enter an alcohol treatment program in prison, tmz.com reports.
Before slamming the law down on their skulls, the judge ripped into Joe and Teresa for lying to the federal government which had to dig up details they should have disclosed up front. By the time the judge was finished spitting them both up, Both Joe and Teresa Giudice had dissolved into tears.
Teresa Giudice’s sentence will be reportedly staggered so that an adult in the home can be free to care for their four daughters.
