Rev. Run is Going to Be a Grandfather

Joseph Simmons a.k.a. Rev. Run from the iconic hip-hop group Run DMC, is going to be a grandpapa!  Vanessa Simmons, the daughter of the rap legend, is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Mike Wayans, who is the son of famed comedian, Damon Wayans. Vanessa took to Instagram to show off a sonogram picture of her baby-girl-to-be with a caption that read, “a little princess on the way,” according to E! News.

Vanessa, who is an entrepreneur, reality star, and actress, is reportedly five months preggers and her due date is February 13.

Rev. Run, the 48-year-old soon-to-be grandpa, is reportedly “super excited” about the baby because it is the family’s first one.

But stop the presses!

Damon Wayans, 53, is also going to be sporting the crown of grandpa for the first time as well.

Angela Simmons, who is Vanessa’s younger sister and co-starred with her on the family’s wildly popular reality show “Run’s House” that ran for four years on MTV, is also reportedly overjoyed by the wonderful little package that is coming down the pike.

Angela, who now co-hosts BET’s “106 & Park” alongside hip-hop star Bow Wow also expressed on Instagram how ecstatic she feels about her sister’s pregnancy. Using the same sonogram shot that Vanessa posted, Angela wrote the caption, “I’m going to be an aunty.”
