Atlanta Public Schools has announced that the school bus pick up schedules have been adjusted.

Lisa McIlvoy, the mother of two elementary children, complained that her daughters were scheduled for a 6:30 a.m. bus arrival, although school does not begin until 8 a.m. The elementary school is located less than a mile away from their home.

She and other parents were worried about the children arriving to school too early before the start time in addition to the long hours the kids will have to endure.

Atlanta Public Schools has changed the school bus schedule and McIlvoy says the bus will arrive at 7 a.m. instead of 6:30.
