Cyclists Ride For Africa

A group of men and women will take a 3,000 mile road trip this summer…on their bicycles. The Ride:Well Tour will travel coast-to-coast, from San Diego to Myrtle Beach, with stops in Arizona, Texas, and Tennessee along the way. The reason for their trek? It’s all in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the water and HIV/AIDS crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa. The riders will stay at churches and attend events throughout their journey to speak and educate communities about Blood:Water Mission, an organization that seeks to empower communities to work together against the water and HIV/AIDS crises in Africa. Since it’s inception in 2004, Blood:Water Mission has funded clean water projects in over 1,000 communities and started three HIV/AIDS clinics in Africa.

The funds raised by the Ride:Well team will go specifically to the Marsabit region of Kenya, an area in the Horn of Africa that has been severely affected by the recent drought. The Ride:Well Tour is organized by Venture Expeditions, an adventure-driven humanitarian non-profit working to connect people with causes through dozens of various outdoor adventures.
