ATLANTA — A woman not only survived a horrifying carjacking attempt by two armed men, she successfully fought off the assailants. Jasmine Warren could have lost her life if they pulled the trigger, but she is not mad at them. In fact, she has love for the men who tried to steal her car and punched her repeatedly.
Warren actually has a positive message for them: “You’ve done something bad, but that doesn’t make you a bad person,” she said, according to 11 Alive
Surveillance video shows Warren fighting off two young men as they punched, pushed, and dragged her from her car. Warren said she made the decision to fight back as soon as the two males ambushed her and commenced to beating her to get her away from the car.

“This young man came up to me with a gun in my face, and in that very instant, I knew I wanted to do something about it. I wasn’t going to let him try to take my stuff from me,” she said.
“They were just as scared as I was. When I looked at that little boy’s eyes he was just as scared as me,” she said. “Honestly he was fumbling. It was a lot.”
Warren didn’t contemplate what could have happened if one of the males, who brandished a firearm and pointed at her face repeatedly, had pulled the trigger.
“As many times as he kept saying that he was going to do it, he didn’t do it. He wouldn’t do it,” she told the station. “So I don’t know if the gun was loaded, you know you never really know.”
Warren, in the end, is lucky to even be alive for being a female fighting two males with a gun, but instead she offers this message of hope to her would-be carjackers:
“You’re wrong for trying to rob from me. It’s not the end of the world for you. It doesn’t mean that you can’t change and make changes in your life,” she said. “It’s up to you and I’m willing to help you make those changes. It doesn’t make you a bad person. You’ve done something bad but you can always be forgiven for it.”
“I understand ya’ll wanted to rob and take from me, but I care for you and I still would like the help you whatever it takes. I just want to help you,” she said. “Make it better for yourself.”
While we’re happy that Warren is safe and alive and wants to help the young men, we would advise her and anyone else to never attempt this during a carjacking. Ever.
