Usher and Missionary Day

APRIL 10—Antioch Baptist Church, 332 Elizabeth Street, Sewickley, will hold its annual Usher and Missionary Day with friends and family on Sunday April 10 at 10:45 a.m.  Pastor Travis C.Coon will bring forth the word. The theme this year is “Serve Him” taken from 1st Samuel 12:24. All are welcome to join us as we celebrate the service of our ushers and missionaries and their dedication to God’s work. Dinner will be served immediately following service.

Candlelight Service

April 10—Christian Chapel AME, 7311 Ridgeview Ave, Penn Hills,  at 3:30 p.m. is holding its sixth annual candlelight service entitled “God Is Our Rock, Our Salvation.” All is invited. Rev. Prodence Harris is the pastor. For more information call: 412-708-2509.

Interfaith gathering

APRIL 10—The North Hills Anti-Racism Coalition is sponsoring the 19th Annual North Hills Interfaith Gathering on at 3:00 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2210 Reis Run Road Pittsburgh, PA 15237 Representatives from nine different faiths will explain what their faith teaches about service and how living it out in their daily lives, inspires them to be engaged with the world we all share. Faiths participating will be Baha’i, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints (Mormon), Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Religious Society of Friends (Quaker), Unitarian Universalism, and Zoroastrianism.   Attendees will be able to choose three breakout sessions to hear three different faith presentations and to ask questions of the presenters providing the opportunity to find out about other faiths.

Lee Ralph, Pastor of Seed & Harvest Ministries, North Versailles, Pa.; Tuesday, April 12–Rev. Richard Wingfield, Pastor of Unity Baptist Church, Braddock, Pa.; Wednesday, April 13, Rev. Roy Sims, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Bellevue, Pa.; Thursday, April 14–Rev. Dr. William C. Calloway, Pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Clairton, Pa.; Friday, April 15, at 7 p.m. concert–concert choir from from Rockford, Ill.; Saturday, April 16 at 4 p.m. Rev. Dr. J. Van Alfred Winsett, emeritus of Ebenezer Baptist Church will be the Guest Preacher; Sunday, April 17 at 11 a.m. Rev. Elton Allen of Bread of Life Missionary Baptist Church, Rockford, Ill.; Sunday, April 17 at 3 p.m., Rev. Lowell T. Williams., Pastor of Zionhill Baptist Church, Youngstown, Ohio (Pastor’s Son) will climax the 50th Anniversary.
