Atlanta Hawks’ guard/forward Kyle Korver made it 90 straight on Friday night. The ninth year Creighton graduate moved into sole possession of the NBA record, hitting a 3-point shot in 90 straight games. He did it with just over 4 minutes left in the first quarter of the Hawks’ win against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Philips Arena.
After reaching the milestone, Korver said he was “grateful” and “glad to have it out of the way.” He also said it was nice when players for both Atlanta and Cleveland congratulated him on the court.
Korver began his record-setting streak of consecutive games with a made three-pointer on Nov. 4, 2012 in Oklahoma City, where he went 1-for-5 from three-point range, according to NBA.com
