East Cobb Baseball Academy President Chance Beam announced this morning that the Academy has donated more than 100 new toys to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

“Teaching our young athletes important life lessons is one of the cornerstones of our program, and there’s no life lesson more important than the act of giving to those in need,” said Beam. “We’re very proud of the broad participation we had from our athletes this year, and exceeding our goals for toys contributed.”

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has supported Toys for Tots for more than 20 years. The mission of the Foundation is to assist the US Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.

The organization works to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas, plays an active role in the development of children, unite all members of local communities in a common cause during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign, and to contribute to improving communities in the future.

The East Cobb Baseball Academy works through the East Cobb Baseball Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1985. Since that time, company reps report that 130 East Cobb teams have won national championships.
