R Kelly Claims Prison Officials Out to Kill Him, Appeals to Trump for Early Release

R Kelly continues to introduce a bevy of reasons for an early release from prison, including fear for his life, severe depression, maltreatment and health issues. Kelly has also appealed to Donald Trump for an early release in light of his penchant for pardoning convicted celebrities.

Most recently, Kelly is said to have been overdosed by prison staff using medication the singer has been prescribed for anxiety and insomnia. He was treated at Duke University on Friday, June 13 after complaining of symptoms that included dizziness and feeling faint.

“He started to see black spots in his vision. Mr. Kelly tried to get up, but fell to the ground. He crawled to the door of the cell and lost consciousness,” the attorneys wrote.

However, the documents also say he was “forcibly” removed from the hospital after two days of hospitalization, per USA TODAY.

On Tuesday, June 17, the R&B singer’s attorneys filed a request regarding the aftermath of Kelly’s time being placed in solitary confinement “against his will.” The seclusion came after his attorneys filed an emergency motion alerting the court that three Bureau Of Prisons officials allegedly plotted to hire a hitman to kill him.

“We are engaged in conversations with multiple persons close to the White House and to President Trump. My client does not have the luxury to wait for vindication from the Courts that will follow the exposure of the corruption at the heart of his prosecutions,” read a statement from his lawyers, read in part.

Kelly is due in court Friday. He’s currently serving a 30-year prison sentence in North Carolina for racketeering and sex crimes overlapping a 20-year sentence for child porn charges in Chicago.
