The City of Atlanta will open an emergency warming shelter during the winter weather event, which includes cold temperatures and winter precipitation, to ensure that Atlanta residents have a safe place to keep warm. The shelter will open today at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Park Recreation Center, located at 400 Merrits Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. The shelter will remain open until further notice.
