ATLANTA – The Men of Distinction-Atlanta, Women of Distinction Inc., KISS 104.1fm, Atlanta Fire and Rescue, the motorcycle community, Celebrity Mamas of Atlanta and, the Honorable Chairman John H. Eaves have joined forces to ensure children in Fulton County wake up with smiles on Christmas day.

A day of service will include two stops in the City of Atlanta on Saturday, Dec. 17. Motorcyclists from across the state will meet up at McDonald’s Restaurant, 3534 MLK Jr. Dr. and depart at 8:45 a.m. with Santa Claus on a red motorcycle with new toys for both stops.

Breakfast, 9 a.m. with Santa Claus at Towne West Manor (clubhouse) 330 Brownlee Road, Southwest, Atlanta, GA 30311 followed by distribution of new toys.

Noon: Grandparents, let’s go Christmas shopping! Location: Lillie’s Foundation for Change, 2015 Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., Atlanta, GA 30310.
*Note: Grandchildren MUST be present.

More than 700 grandparents are officially listed as primary caregivers for their grandchildren in Fulton County, but there are scores more who have not been counted to include grandparents living in poverty areas and many over 60 years of age had to go back to work in order to take care of their grandchildren.

“We are pleased to announce that, thanks to Chairman Eaves, citizens of Atlanta and the sponsors above, grandparents will have new toys to distribute on Christmas Day,” said Freda Stukes. “So many grandparents, most on fixed incomes, find themselves taking on the responsibility of raising their grandchildren,” said Eaves.

“I am asking Atlanta to join forces with Fulton County to ensure these families have a Christmas they will always remember.” NEW toys will be collected at all City of Atlanta Fire Stations until Dec. 15. They will be distributed (while they last) on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at both of the locations above.

“Let’s come together as one to ensure the grandparents are able to enjoy their grandchildren’s smiles and laughter on Christmas Day
