Mary Parker Foundation celebrates the Gift of Giving, Spearheads Holiday Giving Initiative for Children in Need

giving-hands-photoDuring the holiday season when most people are consumed with consumption and receiving, the Mary Parker Foundation® is committed to giving. On Wednesday, December 7, at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta, the annual Mary Parker Foundation® Giving Hands Event hosted a diverse audience of corporate America, charitable organizations, philanthropist, targeted youth and those committed to empowering others through giving. Guests were encouraged to bring gift items for donation to children in need this holiday season. According to Philanthropist and CEO Mary Parker, “The most important thing I do is give. Life is nothing without sharing and caring about those around you. I feel it is my duty to give and I am grateful for partners who share my passion to make the world a better place.”
A huge success, during the annual Mary Parker Foundation® Giving Hands Event, countless toys, electronics, and clothing items were collected for dissemination to children in need. Partnering with the Mary Parker Foundation® are members of the Atlanta Dream, Motherless Daughters Foundation, and Children of Incarcerated Parents, who will work together on the distribution of the gifts received, which include boxes of tennis shoes donated by the Atlanta Dream and Olympic Gold Medalist Angel McCoughtry.  “Although the physical event has taken place, my mission is not complete. My foundation will continue collecting gift items until the week of Christmas. When there is a need, your efforts never stop, so I continue to encourage corporations and individuals across Metro Atlanta to donate gifts to make the holiday season brighter for our children,” said Mary Parker.
The Mary Parker Foundation® was created by business mogul, history-making entrepreneur, and global model for womanhood Mary Parker, as her philanthropic arm of official giving. Annually, the Mary Parker Foundation® organizes and supports initiatives designed to encourage youth, teens, and displaced individuals within the community.  The foundation has donated millions of dollars in scholarships and devoted countless hours to improving the lives of others as they seek to develop strategic partnerships with community leaders, corporations, and individuals. Gifts can be dropped off at 3915 Cascade Road, Suite 340, Atlanta, GA 30331.
