The largest home and auto insurer in the state of Georgia has announced plans to add over 1,500 jobs in the Atlanta market in 2016.
And get this: the jobs will be at a higher wage, the Atlanta Business Chronicle announced.
State Farm said it boosted its minimum starting wage to $15.50 an hour for new. Translation: State Farm’s starting pay for some entry-level careers is being increased by $2.59 an hour.
“We’re seeking applicants for full and part-time positions in customer service, claims and sales, but we’ll also be recruiting for IT and other departments, and some positions requiring bilingual skills” State Farm Spokesman Justin Tomczak told the business newspaper.
