COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — Scoring machine Angel McCoughtry and ball wizard Shoni Schimmel and some of the most popular players of the Atlanta Dream are teaming up with Kaiser Permanente at College Park Elementary School to conduct a WNBA Fit Clinic for local youth on Wednesday afternoon.
Focused on building healthier communities, the Women’s National Basketball Association and Kaiser Permanente will perform a plethora of Fit Clinics throughout the country this year. The Dream will host a basketball clinic and provide nutrition for over 100 students in College Park, a southern suburb of Atlanta, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Acting in the capacity as the league’s first-ever health care partner, Kaiser Permanente is acting as the health care expert and consultant for the WNBA in the role of health and wellness. This Fit Clinic is designed to help young people be active, eat healthy and play together.
