Stray bullet kills another person inside their home


COLLEGE PARK, Ga — A man who was sitting inside his home watching TV was killed after a stray bullet fired from outside the home penetrated the wall and struck him.

Authorities told WSB-TV the shooting happened at the apartment complex on Roosevelt Highway in South Fulton County. The man in his 50’s was inside his apartment a stray bullet from a shootout came through the wall and struck him.He was pronounced dead on the scene.College Park police also said several cars littered with bullet holes in the parking lot. Investigators believe this could have been a drive-by shooting.Witness testimonies said they heard several shots simultaneously, leading police to believe three to four people were involved in this shooting.
“We know there were several shots fired. We had about 15 casings in the parking lot. So we believe that one of the stray shots hit him and killed him,” said Lt. Reed Pollard.
Police say they are interviewing witnesses and a person of interest. No suspects have been arrested as of yet.
