ATLANTA — The man who shot up Lil Wayne’s tour bus has very close ties to rival Young Thug, Atlanta police say in their reports.

Atlanta Police issued an an arrest warrant for the suspect, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, on May 21. He’s been charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity, according to authorities.

TMZ said Winfrey has been Young Thug’s road manager — which is incredibly relevant since Thug’s been in a very public beef with Wayne for months.

Thug exacerbated the toxic rivalry when he released a mocking mixtape album called Tha Carter 6, which was to make fun of Wayn’s long-delayed album. But once Wayne and Cash Money sicced their legal hounds at Young Thug, he thought better of it and changed the name of the album to Barter 6.
