St. John Medical Center- Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Campus opens in Grosse Pointe

SJHMC-Wilson Campus
St. John Providence Health System opened its latest ambulatory center in early October, the St. John Medical Center – Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Campus (SJMC – Wilson Campus), in The Village business district of Grosse Pointe. The center provides not only a new and convenient access point for patients but also represents a partnership with the city and an investment in the community.
The SJMC-Wilson Campus occupies the back portion of the 19,800-square-foot property on Kercheval, formerly the site of Borders Books, and includes an internal medicine physician practice, outpatient physical and occupational therapy, essential diagnostic imaging and lab services. The front portion of the Wilson Campus, facing Kercheval, will be occupied by Scott Shuptrine Interiors, with an opening date of March 2015.
A leading physician practice, St. Clair Adult Medicine Specialists, PC, anchors the Wilson Campus with seven exam and treatment rooms. The practice of Sarah Rosso, MD; Parveen Siddiqui, MD; Christine Crader, MD; and Julia Tesch, DO, has earned the designation of Patient-Centered Medical Home. The practice offers patients a team-based model of care led by a personal physician who provides continuous, coordinated care throughout the patient’s life to help maximize healthy outcomes.
A third of the Wilson Campus is dedicated to outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation. The space features an open area with state-of-the-art equipment, seven individual therapy treatment areas and two private treatment areas. In addition, there is an occupational therapy space for helping patients who have physical or developmental conditions with their daily living and work skills.  Services include: Massage Therapy, FIT Program, and Sports Medicine, as well as several specialty therapies: Women’s Health, Oncology Rehab, Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Fall Prevention.
The Wilson Campus also offers imaging and lab services, which also alleviates the need for well patients to go to the hospital for routine screening work. Advanced diagnostic and imaging services—including digital mammography, ultrasound, bone density, x-ray, echocardiography, nuclear testing, stress testing—and a blood draws station are available.
The Ralph C. Wilson Foundation donated $1 million to St. John Hospital and Medical Center (SJH&MC) in support of the St. John Medical Center – Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Campus in Grosse Pointe.  Wilson, who died in March 2014 at age 95, was most widely known as the owner of the Buffalo Bills NFL franchise. Over the years, Wilson and his wife Mary have provided tremendous philanthropic support for the community, including significant gifts to St. John Providence Health System’s telemonitoring, endoscopy and hospice programs.
The main entrance to the clinical services of the St. John Medical Center – Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Campus is in the rear of the building, closely accessible from the parking lot. A corridor along the length of the facility provides an entrance off Kercheval with easy access to the street and Village shopping.
