A person responsible for shooting three people in Southwest Atlanta on Sunday remains on the loose.
One of the shooting victims died on the scene, while the other two were able to flee, call for help and were transported to a local hospital. They are reportedly in stable condition.
Police say the shooting happened inside a unit at an apartment complex near Windsor Street.
Detectives say a teenager and two others were shot inside the unit. The teen managed to run outside, along with the others who were also in the apartment. The teen made it a few feet from the complex before succumbing to his injuries.
Police say the other two men who were shot made it to a nearby store where they were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.
“Right now we believe it’s all connected. Once we talk to them we’ll know for sure,” said Lt. Charles Hampton with the Atlanta Police Department.
Investigators are now looking for a shooter, a motive and a connection between the suspect and the victims.
“If anyone saw or heard anything, give us a call, homicide or Crimestoppers. You can remain anonymous,” said Hampton.
Police are not sure if they’re looking for one suspect or multiple suspects.
They have detectives at Grady Memorial Hospital to question the two survivors.
