Academy Award winners and Oscar nominees filled the bill for the long-overdue big-screen portrayal of one of the most electric performers of all time, James Brown.
Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer, and the surviving family of the late legendary James Brown attended a star-studded red carpet premiere of Get on Up at the Regal Theaters in the trendy Atlantic Station section of Atlanta. The movie is also another reunion for Spencer and Academy Award nominee Viola Davis, who created cinematic magic with the movie blockbuster The Help.
