LeBron James opting out of the last year of his contract and becoming a free agent was tantamount to poking an angry hornets’ nest.
Sports fans on social media swarmed all over the Miami Heat superstar and stung him repeatedly with biting and cruel comments ranging from being a “quitter” and setting up “The Decision Part II” to comparing him unfavorably to the NBA legends of lore.
That James became a free agency does not mean he will leave the team. He is probably trying to maximize his monetary value, says ESPN’s Chris Broussard and Brian Windhorst (both from Akron, Ohio, by the way) and then will stay with the Heat. But don’t tell that to social media users.
LeBron fans may want to cover their eyes. Non-LeBron James fans can take a look at what the legion of critics had to say about King James’ latest controversial move.
All the heat fans are about to become free agents too. #lebron
