Lowery Celebrates 90 Years

Lowery at Symphony Hall on Oct. 9. Joining in are Evelyn Lowery (barely shown from left); the honoree; Al Sharpton; emcee and CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien; and President Barack Obama’s senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett. Jarrett presented a special video tribute from President Obama. The celebration also featured a special presentation from Delta Air Lines which named a jet after the Civil Rights icon that will fly the honoree and others to the dedication of the King Memorial this weekend.
