WTH?! Gilbert Arenas Calls Rev. Al Sharpton a 'Coon' Regarding Ferguson Protests

Former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas incredulously unfurled a traditional racial slur on a member of his own race, Rev. Al Sharpton, because of the civil rights leaders reactions and actions in wake of the Ferguson, Mo., police shooting of Michael Brown and the riots that have followed.
Arenas completely denounced Sharpton, accusing the reverend of being an attention-seeking whore who causes more harm with race relations than any good:
“The stats also show AL coon sharpton has not helped one situation he has protested at,he actually made it worst and because of him the jury goes the other way.”
The former Washington Wizard star also included on Instagram post an admonishment that Michael Brown’s family stay clear of Sharpton and rebuke his efforts to lead the marches, demonstrations and rallies.
Arenas said “FAMILiES of the victims pleaseeeeee stop asking #alsharpton to speak or ur behalf, you have a better chance having #caesar the monkey from #planetoftheapes to get justice for you.”
Such inflammatory and defamatory language to describe Sharpton and his efforts is interesting in light of Arenas’ own history.
He was well on his way to NBA superstardom — often getting into thrilling playoff battles against LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavs about a decade ago. But his magical NBA carpet ride crashed and burned when he was suspended for nearly a season for bringing a handgun into the Wizards’ locker room, daring former teammate Javaris Crittenton to go for his gun or pull out his own after a team plane card game went awry. His career and image was immediately shattered and never recovered.
Now Arenas has taken on the role of self-appointed civic leader and political spokesperson. He is currently reacting to news coverage of Sharpton arriving in the St. Louis area and marching arm-in-arm with protesters.
Arenas finished off the renouncement of Sharpton by calling him a whore: “#AL ur like a #THOT in the club, lookn for attention what u said at trayvons rally #enoughisenough ur right were tired of u PRETENDING.”
“THOT” is an urban acronym for “That Ho Over There.” Arenas also slammed Sharpton for not showing up in St. Louis until the national media showed up there too.
So far, no word from the Sharpton camp.
