A right-wing commentator was removed from Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s town hall after blasting the congresswoman as a “fake ghetto hoodrat.”
On Thursday (August 14), chaos ensued at Crockett’s town hall in Dallas, Texas when Sara Gonzales, a Blaze TV host, disrupted the event as the Democratic lawmaker was speaking about her grandmother. Crockett hosted the town hall as part of her ongoing efforts to engage constituents on policy and civic issues in her district.
“Jasmine! The people of Dallas deserve better than a fake ghetto hoodrat!” Gonzales shouted. “Do they know you’re a rich kid from Missouri? Do they know you’re a spoiled rich kid from Missouri?”
Audience members immediately responded with outrage.
“Get your a** out of here!” one woman yelled.
“Get out! Get out!” another man said as Gonzales was escorted out by security.
“Don’t touch me! Get her off me!” the MAGA TV host responded. “Get off me! Get the f*** off me!”
As she exited the town hall, Gonzales asked officers, “Are you proud?”
Police ordered her to leave the premises and warned that she could be placed in handcuffs if she didn’t comply.
Following the incident, Gonzales posted a video of the altercation on X, boasting, “I confronted Jasmine Crockett at a town hall for being a fake hoodrat.”
The disruption came as Crockett and other Texas House Democrats continued their pushback against Republican-led redistricting efforts.
On Thursday, another protester was also removed from Crockett’s town hall after shouting, “Jasmine, why do you hate white people?”
